Ordered this metal lever within the first few days of owning the Switch. I wasn’t in love with my coffee flowing past the plastic piece that comes with the Switch. This lever has works flawlessly and was simple to switch out.

Works as intended. after about a week of use, it has not rusted. I'm more at that my hot coffee is passing through stainless steel rather than plastic.
This switch turns an already fantastic brewer into a truly premium one. I cast aside my beloved aero press to reduce the amount of plastic involved in my coffee brewing, and wasn’t willing to try the Hario Switch if it involved a plastic component. This upgrade isn’t cheap, but it is well worth it for me to enjoy using the Hario Switch (which achieves the body I loved from my aeropress coffee) with peace of mind.
