Love it. Well constructed, does the job perfectly
Wonderful little upgrade to my Hario switch. Looks nice, adds a bit of class, and will make clean up that much easier.
A good fit for the Hario Switch.
If only Hario had used a metal lever from the outset. I don’t particularly mind plastic, but we all know it becomes brittle over time, and the risk of it snapping is quite high. Unfortunately, the local Hario distributor doesn't sell the original stock lever as a standalone part. While I have found a few overseas retailers that stock them, the shipping costs are often eye-watering.
That said, shipping from the US might be expensive, but with a metal upgrade, you only have to replace it once. It is a classic case of 'buy once, cry once'—investing in a durable material now saves the inevitable headache of the plastic failing again in a few years. It is frustrating that such a Hario relies on a known point of failure, but at least a metal alternative offers a permanent fix for the long haul.
Worked perfectly!
