This is a perfect replacement for the plastic part in the Hario Switch. Excellent quality, and one less plastic piece to worry about.
Well machined quality product that is a welcomed upgrade. Works better than the plastic oem part.
Love it. Well constructed, does the job perfectly
Wonderful little upgrade to my Hario switch. Looks nice, adds a bit of class, and will make clean up that much easier.
A good fit for the Hario Switch.
If only Hario had used a metal lever from the outset. I don’t particularly mind plastic, but we all know it becomes brittle over time, and the risk of it snapping is quite high. Unfortunately, the local Hario distributor doesn't sell the original stock lever as a standalone part. While I have found a few overseas retailers that stock them, the shipping costs are often eye-watering.
That said, shipping from the US might be expensive, but with a metal upgrade, you only have to replace it once. It is a classic case of 'buy once, cry once'—investing in a durable material now saves the inevitable headache of the plastic failing again in a few years. It is frustrating that such a Hario relies on a known point of failure, but at least a metal alternative offers a permanent fix for the long haul.
I love it! The plastic lever that came with my switch wouldn’t stay seated properly on the silicone resulting in me not being able to release the coffee at times. This one stays where it is supposed to resulting in super smooth operation. I highly recommend any switch owner to get one of these.
Foundary Coffeeworks’ HARIO metal flip switch elevates the Hario Swifch pour over experience. It fits perfectly, finished beautifully, and works great. Highly recommended if you’re a serious coffee enthusiast…..or just enjoy a morning cup.
For top quality stainless steel switch it be hard to beat at this price anywhere
Excellent upgrade for the Vario Switch. High quality and very reasonably priced compared to other ones available. Shipping was fast as well so overall highly recommended!
Perfect fit! Works and looks great!
Worth it! Beautiful upgrade.
Does your Hario Switch lever look like this?
Over time, the plastic lever that comes with the Hario Switch discolors and stains as it comes into direct contact with your coffee during brewing. Not only does it lose its clean look, but it may also affect the quality of your brew.

I got this for an old switch so my complaint is probably not valid for newer switch owners. The lever won’t stay in the flow position. The nubs are not big enough to grab the silicone base. I added some magnets to add enough weight and slide them to the end of the lever when I want the coffee to flow. My plastic lever was worn but didn’t have this problem. I’m still keeping the new lever though as it’s working with the magnets.
